Toshiba Enters 3D Echocardiography With New System

September 10th, 2007

At the European Society of Cardiology Toshiba launches a new 3D echo system.

A press release from Toshiba says in part, “Artida will meet the demands of the growing cardiac 4D market. With Artidas real-time multi-planar reformatting capabilities, physicians can accurately quantify global and regional LV function, including LV ejection fraction, volume and severity of regurgitation.”

No word on price or when it might be available in the USA.

That brings the number of commercially available players in the 3D real time 3D echo market to three:

GE
Philips
Toshiba
