Indeed.com tracks jobs within the cardiovascular ultrasound industry. A quick search of their database suggests that while postings of clinical opportunities have grown dramatically, sales and engineering jobs have faltered.
For example the percent growth of on-line postings for Non-Invasive Cardiologists grew by 1500%, Cardiac Sonographers 300%, and Vascular Sonographers 150%. However Ultrasound Sales dropped by 60% and Ultrasound Engineering by 50%.
Jobs that mention transesophageal echocardiography grew 60%, stress echocardiography 100% but 3D echocardiography dropped a dramatic 50%.
